hp pavilion laptop battery question by Human Psychology Center: Is it normal for a new laptop battery to drain 1 % battery every 2 minutes?
I bought a new HP Pavilion DV2 laptop last week, and when I take it to school I usually only use Microsoft word, and maybe 5 minutes of internet per class.

I noticed that about every 2 minutes the battery will discharge by 1%…

this seems rather fast, especially for a new computer..in which I’m only using Microsoft word..and on the lowest settings for LCD screen brightness (power saver)..

That rate is 200 minutesper battery, nearly 3 hours of active use, sounds normal to me.
